OSTEOGENESIS IMPERFECTA FOUNDATION (SA) TRUST - BRITTLE BONE - FUNDRAISING
I confirm that you have recently instructed our firm to attend to the formation and registration of a Trust to be named the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (SA) Trust for the purposes of fund raising and charitable work and assistance in the area of paediatric bone disorders focussing principally on the Osteogenesis Imperfecta patients.
We confirm that it will obviously take some time to have the relevant Trust Deed prepared thereafter there is a substantial delay in having Letters of Authority issued by the Master of the High Court.
Only thereafter would you be able to apply for a fund raising / non-profit organisation number and accordingly your fund raising is inhibited at the present moment.
The aforementioned said, we confirm that we will be attending to your instructions for the registration of the Trust and the obtaining of a non-profit organisation number as soon as is possible.
However in the interim we confirm that we have struck an arrangement with The J L S Charitable Trust, IT603 to the effect that the J L S Charitable Trust would be prepared in the interim, while your Trust is formed, to collect funds which would be intended to be donated to the Trust to be formed by yourselves and once your necessary registrations are in place, pay such funds and any interest earned thereon over to your Trust.
We confirm that our arrangements as concluded with the J L S Charitable Trust require you to have completed the necessary registration process within a period of 6 (SIX) months from date hereof failing which the funds receipted by the J L S Charitable Trust will be dispersed by the J L S Charitable Trust to the appropriate needy causes in line with your proposed objects or any similar such organisation with similar objects.
We confirm that any donations to be made to your proposed Trust can therefore be directed to the J L S Charitable Trust, in line with the aforementioned arrangements to be deposited into the Trust Account of our firm, details as follows:
